Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of customer service or accounting/finance experience
  • Residency within 25 miles of East Peoria corporate limits
  • Ability to pass physical examination
  • Ability to pass drug screening
  • Successful completion of background check
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in customer service and/or accounting or finance
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Job Duties

  • Provide front-line customer service for water and sewer customers
  • Process payments for various City services
  • Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally
  • Perform general office support duties
  • Carry out clerical tasks including filing and data entry
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure attention to detail
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
