Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year or more of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented
  • TB screening clearance as part of role
  • Availability Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Ability to handle patient-facing responsibilities professionally and courteously

Job Qualifications

  • One year or more of experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience with value-based care model preferred
  • Experience with EMR systems (Electronic Medical Records) preferred

Job Duties

  • Receive and correctly route incoming and outgoing telephone calls
  • Accommodate visitors promptly, courteously, and accurately
  • Check patients in and out
  • Verify insurance information and perform data entry
  • Operate switchboard and multi-line phone systems including Genesys
  • Maintain long distance call logs and take accurate messages
  • Greet visitors, issue visitor passes, maintain visitor logs, and alert appropriate parties
  • Respond to routine inquiries internally and externally
  • Book meeting rooms and handle administrative tasks such as typing, organizing mail, and dispatching courier packages
  • Outreach to potential new patients and collect patient charges
  • Ensure quality customer problem resolution
  • Initiate coordination of care documents for patients
  • Maintain the reception area and appointment scheduling
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of requests
  • Document discussions, messages, and actions taken
  • Resolve patient issues independently with a goal of first call resolution
