Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred
  • Ability to work holidays and weekends
  • Must adhere to resident rights and HIPAA policies
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Emotional stability and integrity
  • Ability to interact with elderly and disabled individuals
  • Must be able to assist in emergency evacuations
  • Must be in good general health

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Proficient with telephone and paging systems
  • Basic clerical and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work holidays and weekends
  • Emotional stability and ability to handle stressful situations
  • Physical ability to perform required duties

Job Duties

  • Welcomes visitors and answers incoming calls in a warm, pleasant, and professional manner
  • Maintains a clean and neat reception area
  • Handles specific resident services and community tasks as assigned
  • Provides a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors
  • Operates paging and telephone systems
  • Takes and promptly relays detailed messages
  • Sorts and distributes mail and prepares outgoing community mail
  • Maintains current listings of residents and staff
  • Reports equipment malfunctions quickly
  • Organizes information packets for job applicants and new staff
  • Performs clerical functions for resident admissions, discharges, and readmission
  • Types, copies, and faxes documents for all departments
  • Attends designated staff meetings
  • Assists with evacuation of residents as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
