Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum three years office experience preferably in a medical setting
  • excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • proficiency with computer systems
  • ability to sit for long periods and perform light lifting up to 30 pounds
  • corrected vision and hearing to normal range
  • pass background check
  • pass non-Federal drug test excluding marijuana
  • proof of influenza vaccination upon employment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum three years office experience preferably in a medical setting
  • excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • proficiency with computer systems
  • knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel a plus

Job Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors into the clinic in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
  • obtain all appropriate forms as required
  • obtain demographic and insurance information and copies of insurance cards and driver’s license for file
  • update demographic and insurance information as needed in the system
  • register all new patients into the system
  • notify nursing staff of patient arrivals and place charts in appointment order
  • assist in preparing charts for next day’s appointments and print schedules as needed
  • collect co-pays, deductibles and other out-of-pocket amounts at time of visit and issue receipts if necessary
  • distribute condolence cards to patients' families as requested
  • maintain lobby area in a neat and orderly manner
  • identify no shows and forward for patient notification
  • demonstrate understanding of patient confidentiality to protect patient and clinic/corporation
  • follow policies and procedures to contribute to front office efficiency
  • cover for other front office functions as requested
