Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum six months experience in relevant clerical role
  • proficiency in operating multi-line telephone systems
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • basic arithmetic skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months experience in an organization performing duties comparable to a switchboard operator and general clerk/typist
  • ability to understand and carry out verbal and written directions
  • ability to make arithmetic calculations
  • ability to maintain good working relations with staff, residents, and the public
  • ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of work materials
  • ability to work independently without supervision

Job Duties

  • Answer incoming calls and provide routine information to callers
  • screen and route calls to appropriate destinations
  • take and record messages for the staff
  • greet visitors, staff, and others in a professional and courteous manner
  • screen and direct all visitors
  • perform general clerical functions including typing, memos, processing facility mail
  • operate general office equipment such as word processor, adding machines, copier, fax machines
  • serve as a member of the marketing team
  • maintain a safe working environment and adhere to facility safety program
  • assist with business office duties including distribution of mail, invoices, payment collection
  • perform other duties as assigned
