Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • experience in secretarial, customer service, office administration, and data entry

  • pass The Salvation Army’s driving test and motor vehicle records check
  • willingness to lift 30 to 50 pounds occasionally
  • pass a criminal background check
  • ability to drive own and/or assigned TSA vehicles
  • ability to sit, move, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist intermittently or continuously
  • ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files and file cabinet drawers
  • ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • pass MVR screening check

Job Duties

  • Answer and/or respond to phone calls received to the office and either assist them or direct them to the proper person
  • greet clients and all who come in the building
  • assist the coordinator in the preparation of client files, making copies of all necessary identification and information regarding client circumstances
  • maintain current and accurate computer files and statistical data
  • assist with AP/AR requirements as requested and needed
  • assist with proper recording, disbursing and reporting of in-kind donations
  • support coordinator with day to day operations, volunteer coordination and special projects
  • assist in supporting the center when the coordinator is away at meetings, vacations, sick, etc
  • perform all other duties as assigned
