Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard
  • Preferably experience in a healthcare or hospital setting
  • Ability to work the 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. shift Monday through Friday
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficient with basic computer applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Two years experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Experience in a hospital environment preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage administrative duties efficiently
  • Knowledge of data entry and record keeping
  • Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Greet patients, visitors, and staff at the front desk
  • Check in patients for assessment
  • Answer switchboard and route calls appropriately
  • Maintain the facility census book
  • Accept and direct incoming deliveries
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Provide clerical support as requested
  • Keep admission and referral forms stocked
  • Maintain the appearance of the lobby and triage rooms
  • Enter patient admissions, admission/referral calls, discharges, and physician/bed/unit transfers
  • Assist with various clerical duties and projects as assigned
