Job Duties
- Answer all calls and provide prompt, courteous, and accurate service
- screen calls to determine proper destination
- make station connections
- take messages and relay information promptly
- handle emergency calls and procedures
- greet general public, students, and staff at the counter
- provide directions and general information
- maintain related calendar of activities and schedules
- receive, sort, distribute, and deliver mail
- process outgoing mail including weighing and metering
- accept postal deliveries requiring special handling
- assist and advise staff with mail regulations and costs
- maintain postage and mail-related records
- assign mailboxes to staff
- distribute communication materials
- oversee and operate office equipment including production copier, fax machine
- order and maintain office and mailing supplies
- operate and perform minor adjustments on postal and office equipment
- assist staff with phone system issues and voicemail setup
- accept paperwork from clients and place in mailboxes
- assign parking permits and passes
- issue copy codes and maintain user listings
- assist in auditing various bills
- send out class schedules and catalogs
- perform clerical tasks including typing staff listings and memoranda
- maintain files and records for mailroom and equipment
- perform related duties as required
