Job Duties

  • Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, and forward calls internally as appropriate
  • Greet visitors, determine nature and purpose of visit, notify employees of visitors, and direct or escort visitors to specific destinations
  • Perform routine administrative support tasks such as filing, printing, collating, mailing, distributing mail and documents, and supporting office maintenance
  • Provide routine information about the company and help resolve routine questions and complaints from customers and the general public
  • Schedule appointments, update calendars, and serve as primary contact for conference room reservations
  • Help train new or backup receptionists on front-desk best practice standards and processes
  • Provide support for meeting and event planning
  • Support new employee equipment setup when required
  • Demonstrate commitment to the highest standards of customer satisfaction by displaying courtesy, sensitivity, and prompt response to customer needs
  • Manage difficult or emotional customer situations promptly and efficiently
  • Meet client commitments and act upon service opportunities
  • Solicit and apply feedback to improve quality and service
