Job Requirements

  • a minimum of a high school diploma
  • at least one year working in a related field
  • proficient coordination and organizational skills
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to read write and speak English fluently
  • professional demeanor and appearance
  • ability to remain composed and troubleshoot various situations
  • ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • knowledge of Planning Center Online preferred
  • knowledge of switchboard operations
  • knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively

Job Duties

  • assists with answering incoming telephone calls including screening and directing calls taking and relaying messages providing accurate information and answering questions about NewSpring Church
  • greets all visitors providing a courteous experience
  • informs the appropriate staff member of guest arrivals
  • monitors visitor access
  • assists with data entry
  • maintains the office supply cabinets in Family Ministry mail and coffee bar areas
  • informs the Next Step Administrator of low supply quantities
  • maintains the tidiness of the reception and the coffee bar areas
  • assists with daily mail duties including accepting and signing for deliveries
  • provides assistance to other ministries under the direction of the Next Step Administrator
