Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of multi-line phone systems
  • Previous clerical or administrative experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to resident rights and safety
  • Ability to participate in ongoing staff development and training

Job Duties

  • Operates the multi-line phone system and directs calls to appropriate individuals or departments
  • Greets visitors and directs them to the appropriate office or resident room
  • Performs light typing and clerical tasks
  • Makes professional overhead announcements while minimizing paging
  • Attends in-service and educational training programs including OSHA and MSDS training
  • Reports unsafe or hazardous conditions and defective equipment to supervisors promptly
  • Maintains confidentiality of resident care information and protects resident rights by ensuring privacy and equitable treatment
