Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Six months experience in a clerical role or completion of secretarial science program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Ability to make independent decisions when warranted
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines for post-acute care facilities
  • Ability to interpret and implement departmental programs, goals, policies, and procedures
  • Competency in patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Understand and comply with company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Adhere to Life Care's Code of Conduct and complete mandatory training

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a secretarial science program from an accredited college or university or a minimum of six months experience in a clerical role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Knowledgeable of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional working relationships

Job Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact for guests and visitors in person and via phone
  • Effectively operate the facility phone and paging system
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
  • Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
