Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous clerical or receptionist experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with staff and public
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must meet health requirements including annual TB screening and physical exam
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Compliance with dress code
  • Availability to work in a 24-hour skilled care environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in reception or clerical roles preferred
  • Proficient in operating office equipment including computer, copier, and fax
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency situations

Job Duties

  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth and positive emphasis throughout the facility
  • Follow reception schedule and instructions as directed
  • Greet visitors cheerfully and provide guided tours
  • Operate telephone system and direct calls appropriately
  • Receive inquiries and release information per procedures
  • Maintain current resident files and emergency contact lists
  • Ensure visitors comply with rules and report suspicious persons
  • Assist with administrative duties including typing, filing, and posting accounts
  • Receive, sort and distribute mail
  • Operate office equipment following safety procedures
  • Maintain work areas neat and clean
  • Order supplies and ensure delivery completeness
  • Assist department heads with administrative tasks
