Job Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to work well with peers in a congenial environment
- Must maintain compassion and dignity toward residents
- Must adhere to Resident Bill of Rights
- Must comply with federal, state, and local health regulations
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must adhere to all facility policies and the Employee Handbook
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Must cope with mental and emotional stress of the job
- Must meet general health requirements including medical and physical examination
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics as necessary
- Must be able to push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet and carry this weight at least 50 feet
- Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test
- Must relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset residents
- Must be available for emergency call backs
- Must maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information
- Must report any non-compliance, abuse, or discrimination according to policy
Job Qualifications

- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of community services and senior living operations
- Proficiency in typing and basic office software
- Commitment to confidentiality and resident rights
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure
- Flexibility to work emergency callbacks as needed
Job Duties
- Receive guests and visitors, having them sign in
- Assist visitors in finding resident rooms
- Answer telephone and take messages, respond to requests, forward information
- Announce appointments and arrivals to appropriate staff
- Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
- Sort mail and distribute appropriately
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth and positive emphasis
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Provide tours and community information
- Assemble and maintain admission and information packets
- Keep front desk and lobby area neat and organized
- Perform duties assigned by Business Office Manager or Executive Director
- Ensure high quality of service in a caring atmosphere
- Report occupational exposures
- Report work related injuries and illnesses
- Complete training and skills competency
- Participate in life safety and emergency drills
- Fulfill responsibilities during emergency plan activation
- Assist with evacuation of residents in emergencies
- Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information
- Report non-compliance with policies
- Protect residents from abuse and cooperate with investigations
- Report allegations of abuse or mistreatment
- Report retaliation or discrimination
- Report suspicion of crime to authorities
- Perform other duties as requested
