Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Minimum typing skills of 35 words per minute
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously
- Manual dexterity and coordination for working with required equipment
- Ability to receive and express detailed information orally
- Visual acuity
- Ability to read and understand written directions
- Occasionally lift and transport items weighing up to 10 pounds

Job Duties
- Greet and direct residents, visitors, employees, physicians, and other inquiring parties cheerfully and helpfully 100% of the time
- Answer all telephone calls by the third ring, identifying oneself by name and the facility, and provide assistance including returning calls, pages, and transferring calls 100% of the time
- Alert supervisor or seek supervisor's guidance with questionable calls, individuals, residents, or employee concerns
- Accept, document, and deliver pertinent information and messages to appropriate personnel accurately and timely
- Maintain a neat workstation and report equipment failures or unusual circumstances to manager
- Prepare, type, copy, and distribute documents with 100% accuracy timely per procedures
- Monitor all persons entering or leaving the facility and ensure residents leaving with family or guests are properly signed out
- Open and sort office mail appropriately and distribute within one hour after receipt
- Ensure receptionist relief during breaks, signing the logbook when leaving station
- Perform other duties as assigned
