Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Two years of work-related experience may be considered in lieu of diploma if directly related
  • One year minimum of prior administrative or medical office experience highly preferred
  • Experience with hospital registration and insurance preferred
  • Clerical and switchboard experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Handle with Care (HWC) required or to be obtained during orientation
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Gathers registration information and registers all patients coming into the hospital
  • Relays incoming and outgoing telephone calls, and operates public address or paging system as requested
  • Greets visitors and patients and gives directions as needed
