Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of a secretarial science program or six months of clerical experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Knowledge of post-acute care laws and regulations
  • Adherence to company policies and compliance procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during work hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Successfully completed a secretarial science program from accredited college or university OR have a minimum of six months experience in a clerical role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in post-acute care facility
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact for guests and visitors in person as well as via phone in a friendly and professional manner
  • Effectively operate the facility phone and paging system
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
  • Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
