Job Requirements

  • Prior coursework or training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
  • Experience with office practices and technology applications

Job Qualifications

  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business is preferred
  • Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and computer proficient process-focused operator

Job Duties

  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework
  • Support the perfect patient experience process by helping to get patients into the office and ensuring their comfort during visits
  • Schedule appointments to enable a smooth, productive day for healthcare providers
  • Interact and communicate with patients and guests in the reception area during their wait time
  • Answer telephones promptly and handle calls with efficiency and thoroughness
  • Complete all tasks on the front office checklist daily
  • Post payments to patient accounts in accordance with company policies
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in practice management systems for patient registration and e-check in
  • Efficiently check in patients, obtain necessary consents, and notify back office of arrivals with pertinent information
  • Confirm patient appointments in line with office policies at least two days in advance
  • Return and resolve patient messages received from the Contact Center in a timely manner
  • Actively participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings
  • Understand business imperatives and how this role impacts metrics
  • Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS brand through decisions consistent with the brand framework
  • Support clinicians on patient education about the Mouth-Body Connection
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor according to company policies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
