Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Less than one year of basic clerical training
  • Six to twelve months of previous related work experience
  • Ability to complete one to three months of on-the-job training
  • No required certifications, registrations, or licensures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic clerical training with six to twelve months of related work experience
  • Ability to perform on-the-job training for one to three months
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
  • Familiarity with hospital administrative procedures
  • Customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Greet and direct patients and visitors according to policies and procedures
  • Update patient registration information as needed
  • Retrieve patient charts and file forms or reports in charts
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages or provide information
  • Supply information regarding Holy Cross Hospital, the Crisis Stabilization Unit, and Behavioral Health to the public, clients, and customers
  • Maintain necessary records and logs of patient visits
  • Perform clerical duties such as sorting and distributing mail, photocopying records, monitoring visitor access and ensuring security, and providing general administrative support
