Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous receptionist or administrative support experience preferred
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
- Availability to work occasional evening or weekend hours
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative support role preferred
- Experience in a social services nonprofit or healthcare environment is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and Outlook
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Compassionate and youth-focused with the ability to interact with a diverse population
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
Job Duties
- Greet visitors and youth in a professional courteous and welcoming manner
- Ensure all visitors are logged into the visitor tracking system and directed to the appropriate department or staff member
- Answer screen and forward phone calls ensuring messages are accurately relayed
- Maintain and manage the reception area keeping it organized and clean
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing data entry and maintaining office supplies
- Provide support for scheduling meetings and appointments as needed
- Assist with incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Direct youth to the appropriate services or personnel as needed
- Answer questions about the organization's programs and services providing information or redirecting youth to the correct resources
- Provide compassionate and understanding assistance to youth in need respecting confidentiality and privacy
- Maintain clear communication with staff youth and external partners
- Relay important messages to the appropriate department or individual in a timely manner
- Support special projects and events as needed
- Adhere to all organizational policies including those related to youth privacy and confidentiality
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for visitors youth and staff
