Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
  • proficiency with computer-based practice management software
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • friendly and professional demeanor
  • availability to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
  • commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data privacy

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting utilizing a computer-based practice management software system
  • ability to handle high call volume and multitask while providing an exceptional customer experience
  • excellent customer service and phone etiquette
  • knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
  • experience with EMR systems such as E-Clinical Works, Epic, Athena Health, or NextGen preferred

Job Duties

  • Answer phone calls utilizing a multiline telephone system
  • ensure accurate and timely processing of all requests by taking appropriate action such as scheduling appointments, taking messages, transferring calls to appropriate staff
  • ensure thorough records are maintained by documenting discussions, messages, and actions taken to process inquiries
  • resolve patient issues through independent problem solving aiming for first-call resolution
  • welcome patients and coordinate front-desk activities
  • manage high call volumes while maintaining exceptional customer experience
  • perform basic administrative and clerical tasks related to operational and customer support
