Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- customer service experience preferred
- ability to work Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays
- availability for day shift
- part-time availability for 32 hours per week
- proficiency in computer use and telephone etiquette
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of patient privacy and hospital security procedures

Job Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous manner
- offer assistance and provide accurate information and directions
- exhibit friendly and helpful behavior anticipating patient and visitor needs
- demonstrate proficiency in computer use
- ensure visitors and callers receive accurate information
- answer telephone calls promptly and appropriately
- adhere to department policy regarding call transfers and patient information dissemination
- demonstrate telephone courtesy and positive guest relations
- maintain knowledge of all department locations within the hospital
- communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- uphold hospital policies regarding courtesy parking and patient privacy
- check and assign vendor passes
- verify employee ID badges
- monitor and report suspicious activities to security
- assist in training and supervising volunteers at the information desk
- perform other duties related to reception services and security as needed
