Job Requirements

  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled
  • ability to sit up to 8 hours per day
  • ability to stand up to 2 hours per day
  • ability to walk up to 2 hours per day
  • ability to lift, transfer, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
  • occasional exposure to residents with various disease processes
  • subject to risk category for exposure to bloodborne diseases - III

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • six months experience in an administrative or clerical position
  • experience with a multi-line telephone system
  • ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute
  • knowledge of office machines, equipment, and procedures
  • proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the internet

Job Duties

  • answer the multi-line telephone system and direct calls to proper departments and staff
  • monitor main entrance, greet visitors, verify who is entering the building, maintain sign-in log for visitors, volunteers, and vendors, and direct them accordingly
  • calmly handle all emergencies including resident alert alarms, fire alarms, etc
  • maintain and update resident directory, emergency phone contacts, department extensions, and key personnel daily
  • receive, sort, and distribute mail as directed
  • interface directly with the public greeting and directing visitors professionally
  • listen and respond to the needs of residents and staff members
  • assist with administrative duties including typing, filing, and copying
  • complete daily huddle and channel 2 broadcast information
  • manage gift shop inventory and cash flow if applicable
  • schedule chapel services and prepare room as needed
  • maintain business office files if applicable
  • sell lunch tickets coordinating with culinary and nutritional services if applicable
  • input beauty shop charges if applicable
  • track garage space rental if applicable
  • dispatch security if needed
