Job Requirements

  • willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • one year clerical experience or college education/vocational training as substitute
  • ability to communicate effectively in English: reading, writing, speaking
  • successful completion of employment screening including national background investigation and drug test
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • receptionist experience in medical or long-term care facility preferred
  • experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • handles cash and assists with resident meal funds
  • remain calm in emergency situations and use overhead PA system for announcements
  • greet visitors courteously
  • provide limited information to the public about services
  • answer and route incoming and in-house calls
  • take and deliver accurate messages to staff in a timely fashion
  • maintain order in reception area and provide reading materials
  • ensure adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures
  • protect residents' rights and confidentiality
  • prepare letters, reports, forms, and documents accurately
  • deliver medication received via mail promptly
  • assist families and visitors with meal receipts and purchases
  • coordinate mail flow and distribute parcels
  • perform basic bookkeeping, filing, cash handling, and clerical duties
  • perform other routine office duties as instructed
