Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Prior course work or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
- Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances
- Energetic self-starter who is results oriented and meets commitments
- Flexible, empathetic, passionate, and ethical patient advocate
- Detail-oriented and organized with comprehensive knowledge of operational processes
- Computer proficiency
- Understanding of profit drivers and local market competition
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality with patient records
- Ability to manage tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties

- Support the Perfect Patient Experience process by helping to get patients into the office and ensuring they are comfortable during their visit
- Schedule appointments that result in each healthcare provider having a smooth, productive day
- Interact and communicate with patients and guests in the reception area during their wait time
- Answer telephones in a timely manner and handle all calls with efficiency and thoroughness
- Ensure that all tasks on the front office checklist are completed daily
- Post payments to patient accounts in accordance with company policies
- Act as subject matter expert in practice management system regarding patient registration, e-check in, and account information accuracy
- Efficiently check in patients, obtain necessary consents, and promptly notify back office of each patient’s arrival with pertinent information
- Confirm all patient appointments at least 2 days in advance following office policies
- Return and resolve all patient messages received from the Contact Center in a timely manner
- Actively participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings
- Maintain a thorough understanding of business imperatives and their impact on metrics
- Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand by making decisions consistent with the brand framework
- Support clinicians in patient education regarding the Mouth-Body Connection
- Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and state, federal, and regulatory bodies
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
