Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience in office administration or program coordination
  • Ability to communicate in American Sign Language
  • Strong knowledge of relevant confidential information policies
  • Proficiency with computer software programs such as MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to handle both complex and routine administrative tasks
  • Commitment to workplace safety and Title IX compliance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year of experience with office administration, program coordination, or related field
  • Ability to communicate in American Sign Language
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to ensure discretion and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of policies related to confidential information release
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, file maintenance, and database management
  • Experience working across university departments and external groups

Job Duties

  • Greets and signs patients into SHS and schedules follow-up appointments
  • Responds to incoming calls and inquiries to SHS
  • Checks, verifies, and edits data in Medicat to ensure accurate input
  • Inputs correct patient data when creating a new Medical record
  • Inputs and retrieves alphabetical and numerical data using knowledge of Medicat
  • Receives and routes medical information to and from SHS staff members
  • Assists with coordinating the provisions of the student health insurance program
