- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a clinic setting preferred
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and others involved with patient care
- excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

- familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
Job Duties
- Greets patients in a prompt and courteous manner
- obtains pertinent patient information, scans insurance cards, and updates records accordingly
- documents changes in EMR chart
- answers internal telephone and provides basic information
- locates samples and written prescriptions for patient pick-up
- collects co-pays and payments
- performs closing functions per departmental guidelines
- maintains patient and clinic confidentiality
- schedules follow-up and office visit appointments as needed
- assists in other reception areas, Minor Care and Women’s Center as needed, directed and trained
- maintains work area and lobby
- attends meetings as required
- occasional work hours outside 8:00 to 5:00 as requested
- performs related work as assigned by Patient Relations Manager or designee
