Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Interest in exercise science, sports performance and fitness preferred
  • Students pursuing a physical therapy or pre-physical therapy degree program are strongly preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Interest in exercise science, sports performance and fitness preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Customer service experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Greeting visitors and directing them to appropriate staff
  • Answers the phone and appropriately routes calls
  • Schedules and confirms new and returning patient appointments
  • Minimizes cancellations and empty appointment slots
  • Collects co-payments at time of service and collects patient insurance and privacy forms
  • Compiles and records medical charts, reports and correspondence
  • Educates patients about their insurance and how physical therapy treatment plans work
  • Assists with physical therapy aide duties, when applicable
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
