- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- CPR and CPI certified within 30 days of employment
- Previous clerical and customer service experience preferred

Job Duties
- Greet patients and guests upon arrival and ensure their comfort
- Demonstrate excellent guest relations in communication and cooperation, assist patients, licensed practitioners, co-workers, and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner
- Record and route telephone and in-person messages accurately, completely, and promptly
- Maintain an accurate record of visitors each day, personal belongings dropped off, visitation logs, etc.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hospital emergency code response procedures with ability to call codes through the speaker system in a correct and audible manner
- Route incoming mail promptly and to the correct departments or individuals
- Maintain awareness of highly confidential and/or important documents received at the hospital
- Assure lobby area is clean and presentable, with appropriate beverages and snacks for patients and visitors
- Assist Assessment and other departments as required
- Offer assistance to the Business Development/Community Relations Department with respect to special projects and community involvement
- Maintain professionalism in a variety of stressful situations
- Provide front-line support by greeting guests and managing incoming calls, ensuring individuals are directed to the appropriate staff or department
- Perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks while supporting hospital operations and maintaining compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Deliver excellent customer service in all guest and caller interactions
- Perform clerical duties such as typing, filing, copying, and message taking
- Facilitate the flow of information throughout the hospital in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with the Business Development and Assessment departments during the patient assessment and admission process
- Assist with obtaining patient vital signs upon request from the Assessment Department
