Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of receptionist experience in healthcare setting preferred
  • must maintain acceptable driving record, current driver's license, and insurability
  • proficiency in MS Office software including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • effective organizational and time management skills
  • effective written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Greets visitors positively and professionally and maintains visitor registration logs
  • directs patients and visitors to appropriate parties and answers basic questions
  • answers telephone and correctly routes calls via phone or paging system
  • performs general clerical and data entry duties
  • ensures reception area is maintained and clean and provides a calm environment for visitors
  • communicates with appropriate staff during emergency situations and drills
  • provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff by assessing risks and implementing appropriate precautions
  • complies with appropriate and approved safety and infection prevention standards
  • maintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule
  • performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization
