Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- one year working in a retail store preferably a Salvation Army store with some experience supervising the work of co-workers
- good communication skills
- basic clerical skills
- ability to manage phone systems and direct calls
- ability to provide customer service politely and effectively
- ability to handle deliveries and visitors
- ability to maintain accurate records
- physical ability to sit for prolonged periods
- ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Answers the telephone and transfers call to the appropriate destination
- respond to callers’ questions and provide accurate information
- records accurate and complete messages
- ensures timely and accurate distribution of messages through telephone
- records and updates statistical information
- ensures accuracy and completeness of records
- receives, greets, and announces visitors in a courteous and tactful manner
- assists callers and visitors by answering questions and providing instructions and referrals
- screens sales representative soliciting The Salvation Army
- notifies the proper individuals when visitors or clients have arrived
- ensures visitors and clients have signed in
- performs routine clerical work such as typing and filing
