Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ability to work well with peers in a congenial work environment
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • adherence to federal, state, and local health and regulatory standards
  • willingness to be called back during emergency conditions
  • compliance with Viva Senior Living attendance policies
  • ability to maintain highest standards of care and service to residents and their families
  • capacity to maintain confidentiality and abide by all facility policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ability to work well with peers in a congenial work environment
  • strong communication skills in English including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding
  • compassion and respect for residents' rights
  • knowledge of community services and rates
  • proficiency in typing and handling correspondence
  • ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information

Job Duties

  • Receive guests and visitors, having them sign in
  • assist visitors in finding resident rooms
  • answer telephone and take messages including caller's name, telephone number, time, and date of call
  • announce appointments and arrivals to appropriate staff
  • type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested
  • sort mail and distribute appropriately to mailboxes, residents, and departments
  • create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis
