Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one year retail experience preferably in a Salvation Army store
- supervisory experience preferred
- ability to handle telephone communication effectively
- skill in recording messages accurately
- ability to greet and assist visitors professionally
- physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
- ability to sit for extended periods
- good verbal and written communication skills
- basic computer proficiency

Job Duties
- Answers the telephone and transfers call to the appropriate destination
- responds to callers' questions and provides accurate information
- records accurate and complete messages ensuring timely distribution
- receives, greets, and announces visitors in a courteous and tactful manner
- assists callers and visitors by answering questions and providing instructions and referrals
- screens sales representatives soliciting The Salvation Army
- notifies appropriate individuals when visitors or clients arrive
- ensures visitors and clients sign in
