Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Minimum of one (1) year receptionist experience required
  • Proficient in office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and exceptional organizational skills
  • Must be able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to operate postage and copy machinery
  • Must be able to speak conversational English to communicate with residents, visitors, family members, supervisor and co-workers

  • Previous experience in a senior living environment or medical facility preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet, welcome and direct residents, visitors, staff in a friendly and professional manner, while handling questions or concerns efficiently
  • Manage and maintain records for resident admissions and discharges
  • Prepare admission packets and work closely with the floor nursing staff
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, faxes, and all other correspondence
  • direct to appropriate resident, staff member, or department
  • Monitor reception area traffic including directing deliveries, packages, etc
  • Maintain accurate information pertaining to residents being off campus via the away book, away latch log, and shift pass along
