Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Completion of secretarial science program from accredited college or university OR minimum six months experience in a clerical role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action
- Knowledge of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
- Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, policies, and procedures
- Performance proficiency in patient rights, safety, and sanitation
- Maintenance of professional working relationships with associates and vendors
- Maintenance of confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information
- Understanding and following company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Adherence to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completion of required compliance training
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Successful completion of a secretarial science program from an accredited college or university OR six months experience in a clerical role
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Knowledgeable of post-acute care practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of patient rights, safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to maintain professional relationships and confidentiality
- Integrity and professionalism according to Life Care's Code of Conduct
Job Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for guests and visitors in person and via phone
- Effectively operate the facility phone and paging system
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
- Assist in the evacuation of patients
- Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
- Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
- Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
