Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • knowledge of Google Drive
  • able to work with minimum supervision and multi-task
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • pleasant demeanor
  • ability to remember faces and names of parents and students
  • ability to resolve unexpected problems with special attention to the welfare of the students

Job Duties

  • Answers telephone and directs the caller to the appropriate faculty or staff
  • greets and directs school visitors
  • receives, sorts and distributes mail daily
  • responds to inquiries from students, parents, faculty, and staff
  • performs a variety of clerical duties
  • prepares and distributes attendance reports
  • enters tardy children in the attendance program
  • maintains knowledge of all calendar of events
  • sells lunch tickets
  • welcomes and directs SOA artists and vendors to parent volunteer contacts
  • makes overhead announcements as needed
  • performs other duties as assigned
