Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role preferred
- ability to communicate clearly and courteously
- basic computer skills and familiarity with telephone systems
- physical ability to perform duties within facility requirements
- willingness to attend in-service education programs
- commitment to resident privacy and safety
- ability to work well in a team environment

- knowledge of Standard Precautions and safety protocols

Job Duties
- Manage the telephone and switchboard
- operate paging and telephone system as required
- answer calls timely and courteously
- direct calls promptly and accurately
- assist visitors upon arrival by greeting them courteously
- provide directions or contact the person visitors are coming to see
- ensure all visitors and vendors sign in
- demonstrate customer service skills including smiling, greeting effectively, offering assistance, and maintaining a neat work area
- maintain awareness of environment focusing on the front entrance
- perform clerical duties such as assisting administrator or others with special tasks or projects
- handle mail and filing as needed
- prepare informational packets and brochures for visitors
- assist with administrative duties including filing, posting accounts, and data entry
- order supplies as directed
- attend in-service education programs
- follow Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures
- maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information
- protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse
- protect residents personal property
- perform other duties as directed by supervisor or administrator
