Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Previous clerical and customer service experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal or hospital-owned vehicle
- CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- May be required to work flexible hours and overtime

Job Duties
- Greet patients and guests upon arrival and ensure their comfort
- Demonstrate excellent guest relations in communication and cooperation, assisting patients, licensed practitioners, co-workers and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner
- Record and route telephone and in-person messages accurately, completely, and promptly
- Maintain an accurate record of visitors each day, personal belongings dropped off, visitation logs, etc.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hospital emergency code response procedures with the ability to call codes through the speaker system in a correct and audible manner
- Route incoming mail promptly and to the correct departments or individuals
- Maintain awareness of highly confidential and/or important documents received at the hospital as assigned
- Assure lobby area is clean and presentable, with appropriate beverages and snacks for patients and visitors
- Assist Assessment and other departments as required
- Offer assistance to the Business Development/Community Relations Department with respect to special projects and community involvement
- Maintain professionalism in a variety of stressful situations
