Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • evening shift availability
  • ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
  • full-time availability for 40 hours per week
  • excellent telephone courtesy
  • ability to monitor and report suspicious activity
  • sensitivity and tact in dealing with volunteers
  • adherence to hospital policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • customer service experience preferred
  • proficiency in computer use
  • good communication and customer service skills
  • knowledge of hospital policy regarding courtesy parking
  • knowledge of patient privacy policy and procedures
  • ability to train and supervise volunteers

Job Duties

  • Greets patients and visitors as soon as they approach the desk in a courteous manner
  • offers assistance and provides accurate information and directions
  • exhibits friendly and helpful behavior by anticipating and responding to the needs of patients and visitors
  • exhibits proficiency in computer use
  • ensures that visitors and callers receive accurate information
  • answers telephone calls promptly and appropriately
  • adheres to department policy regarding transferring calls and disseminating patient information
