Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to two years of related office or secretarial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and capable of learning program-specific software
  • Able to operate standard office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines, and multi-line phone systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills including arithmetic and percentages
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Professional demeanor and interpersonal skills suitable for diverse populations

Job Duties

  • Answer incoming telephone calls and route inquiries appropriately
  • Greet and assist clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Prepare, type, and distribute correspondence, forms, and reports
  • Maintain organized filing systems and client records
  • Log incoming Requests for Tenancy Approval (RFTAs) and update available unit listings
  • Prepare monthly client packets for re-certification
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and faxes
  • Review initial eligibility applications for completeness and accuracy
  • Support administrative and clerical needs of the program staff as assigned
