Job Duties

  • Open and close the building each day
  • greet guests with a pleasant demeanor
  • notify the person with whom the guest will meet
  • direct guests to meeting rooms, rest rooms, vending, etc., as needed
  • notify guests of the location of their meeting (meeting room list available in advance)
  • answer switchboard and direct calls
  • answer, or place, any relay calls
  • schedule and change conference rooms using Microsoft Office
  • sign in visitors, guests, and participants
  • screen guests according to current protocols
  • call ahead and/or call for assistance if someone refuses to stop at reception
  • follow agency procedure (blue light procedure) to report security concerns, when necessary
  • serve as a perimeter emergency drill contact
  • monitor building video surveillance via computer
  • report concerns to identified staff
  • supervise waiting area
  • provide assistance, as needed
  • call for transportation, as requested
  • keep waiting area neat
  • disinfect the area according to current safety protocols
  • facilitate positive communication with other departments and accept assignments in other areas as requested by supervisor
  • work collaboratively with participants, families, program staff, co-workers, and supervisor
  • conduct self in a professional manner
  • provide person-centered, quality, services
  • observe confidentiality and safeguards regarding all participant related information
  • follow agency standards and procedures
  • ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as with company policies
  • perform other duties as assigned
