Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service or administrative role preferred
- Ability to manage multiple telephone lines and switchboard systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in basic clerical and administrative tasks
- Familiarity with health and safety protocols in a nursing facility
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional ethics
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
Job Duties
- Manages the telephone and switchboard
- Operate paging/telephone system as required
- Answer calls timely and courteously
- Direct calls promptly and accurately
- Assist visitors upon arrival by greeting courteously and giving directions or contacting the person they have come to visit
- Ensure all visitors/vendors sign in
- Demonstrate customer service skills in every interaction via phone or in person including smiling and greeting effectively
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area
- Assist administrator or others with special tasks or projects
- Perform mail handling and filing duties as needed
- Prepare informational packets and brochures for visitors
- Assist with administrative duties including filing, posting accounts, data entry
- Order supplies as directed
- Attend in-service education programs
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records
- Protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse
- Protect personal property of facility residents
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or administrator
