Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Knowledge of clerical procedures such as alphabetizing files and records
- Good organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Customer service experience
- Must be flexible with scheduling
- Medical terminology and knowledge of the equine and thoroughbred industries
- College associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Job Duties
- Answer phones, assist clients as needed, escalating to other Hospital Administrators as needed
- Welcome and host clients/ visitors in a professional manner
- Maintain calendars including surgeon's in-clinic patient calendar
- Send appropriate communication to clients regarding appointments and prepare documents for patient admission and discharge such as admission forms, Coggins, and health certificates
- Send reports to clients for thoroughbred sales and maintain organized systems for tracking sales horses and related paperwork
- Listen and type up doctoral dictations for approval and send reports to clients
- Respond to inquiries about the range of services the practice provides and refer to appropriate staff as needed
