Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in customer service or receptionist role preferred
- strong verbal communication skills
- ability to handle multiple phone lines and visitors simultaneously
- proficiency with basic office equipment and computer systems
- ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- physical ability to perform essential duties including standing for extended periods
- willingness to attend in-service education programs

Job Duties
- Manage the telephone and switchboard
- operate paging/telephone system as required
- answer calls timely and courteously
- direct calls promptly and accurately
- assist visitors upon arrival to the facility by greeting them courteously
- provide directions or contact the person they have come to visit
- ensure all visitors/vendors sign in
- demonstrate customer service skills in every interaction including smiling and greeting effectively
- maintain a neat and orderly work area
- focus attention on the front entrance and demonstrate awareness of the environment
- perform clerical duties such as assisting administrator or others with special tasks or projects
- handle mail and filing as needed
- prepare informational packets and brochures
- assist with administrative duties including filing, posting accounts, data entry
- order supplies as directed
- attend in-service education programs
- be familiar with Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures
- maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records
- protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse
- protect personal property of residents
- perform other duties as directed by supervisor or administrator
