Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to work well with peers in a congenial work environment
  • Commitment to maintaining compassion and dignity for residents
  • Adherence to federal, state, and local health and regulatory standards
  • Ability to follow attendance policies and employee handbook
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information
  • Availability for part-time shifts Monday-Friday 4:30 pm-8:00 pm and weekends 10:00 am-3:00 pm

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficient in English including reading, writing, and speaking
  • Experience in customer service or a related role preferred
  • Ability to work well with peers in a congenial work environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining residents' dignity and confidentiality

Job Duties

  • Receive guests and visitors, having them sign in
  • Assist visitors in finding resident rooms
  • Answer telephone and take messages including caller's name, telephone number, time, and date of call
  • Respond to requests
  • Forward information to other staff members
  • Announce appointments and arrivals to appropriate staff
  • Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested
  • Sort mail and distribute appropriately to mailboxes, residents, and departments
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information
  • Be knowledgeable about community services and rates, providing families and/or prospective residents with tours and/or community information
  • Assemble and maintain admission and information packets
  • Keep front desk and lobby area neat and organized
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Business Office Manager or Executive Director
