Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum three years receptionist experience
  • At least two years database management experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to perform light physical tasks
  • Good organizational skills
  • Pleasant and professional demeanor

  • Two or more years database experience

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome visitors
  • Notify parish personnel of visitors' arrival
  • Maintain security at the front desk
  • Answer and direct phone calls courteously
  • Perform routine administrative support
  • Maintain Mass Intentions using Microsoft Excel
  • Count money and record receipts
  • Receive, open, and distribute mail
  • Apply postage and prepare outgoing mail
  • Manage office supplies and equipment
  • Maintain parishioner contact records and files
  • Process sick calls for the priest
  • Check and communicate mail, email, and messages
  • Prepare weekly bulletins for printing
  • Record new members and update database
  • Prepare and mail sacramental certificates
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Assist with baptismal documents and faith formation
  • Prepare security money bags
  • Restock coffee and related supplies
  • Relate well with diverse persons
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results
