Job Requirements

  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred

Job Duties

  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework
  • Support the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) process by helping to get patients to come into the office and ensuring they are comfortable during their visit
  • Schedule appointments to ensure healthcare providers have smooth, productive days
  • Interact and communicate with patients and guests in the reception area during wait times
  • Answer telephones in a timely and efficient manner
  • Complete all tasks on the front office checklist daily
  • Post payments to patient accounts according to company policies
  • Serve as subject matter expert in practice management system for patient registration, e-check in, and account information accuracy
  • Efficiently check in patients, obtain necessary consents, and notify back office of patient arrivals with pertinent information
  • Confirm all patient appointments according to office policies at least two days in advance
  • Return and resolve patient messages received from the Contact Center promptly
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings
  • Understand business imperatives and how the role impacts key metrics
  • Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand and support clinician patient education
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor in line with company policies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
