Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year medical office experience preferred
  • current B.L.S. and CPR certification required
  • ability to count money, make change, and reconcile daily collections
  • excellent organizational skills
  • ability to work in multitasked environment
  • ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • ability to understand verbal information and instructions
  • conversational Spanish preferred
  • knowledge of insurance billing and coding helpful
  • ability to operate routine office equipment
  • infrequent local travel

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • a minimum of one year experience in a medical office preferred
  • current B.L.S. with skills demonstration CPR certification required for first day
  • experience in appointment scheduling
  • experience in data entry helpful
  • experience in insurance billing helpful
  • good typing skills and computer working knowledge

Job Duties

  • Answer and direct telephone calls
  • schedule appointments
  • process paperwork for daily clinic operations
  • collect patient payments
  • assist and direct all contacts
  • provide excellent customer service
  • enter, verify and maintain patient billing information
  • maintain confidentiality
