Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- experience in clerical or secretarial role preferred
- must complete de-escalation training within 90 days of orientation
- proficient in keyboarding and office technology
- ability to perform repetitive hand/wrist motions
- ability to sit and move frequently throughout the office
- emotional stability and superior communication skills
- ability to adapt to changing schedules as needed
- ability to travel within health system facilities
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- experience working in a clerical or secretarial role in a healthcare-related setting preferred
- proficient knowledge of computer and office technology including MS Outlook and Word
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to handle high stress situations with emotional stability
- customer service skills with professional etiquette
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Job Duties
- Receive and assist patients and visitors
- answer telephone calls and direct them appropriately
- organize and schedule patient appointments
- facilitate patient care by managing front desk operations
- maintain professional and efficient communication with patients and staff
- manage office equipment including computer, telephone, and fax
- demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment when interacting with patients of all ages
