Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • experience in clerical or secretarial role preferred
  • must complete de-escalation training within 90 days of orientation
  • proficient in keyboarding and office technology
  • ability to perform repetitive hand/wrist motions
  • ability to sit and move frequently throughout the office
  • emotional stability and superior communication skills
  • ability to adapt to changing schedules as needed
  • ability to travel within health system facilities

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • experience working in a clerical or secretarial role in a healthcare-related setting preferred
  • proficient knowledge of computer and office technology including MS Outlook and Word
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to handle high stress situations with emotional stability
  • customer service skills with professional etiquette
  • ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Receive and assist patients and visitors
  • answer telephone calls and direct them appropriately
  • organize and schedule patient appointments
  • facilitate patient care by managing front desk operations
  • maintain professional and efficient communication with patients and staff
  • manage office equipment including computer, telephone, and fax
  • demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment when interacting with patients of all ages
