Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in healthcare or administrative support preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- proficiency with telephone and paging systems
- basic computer skills
- understanding of confidentiality and privacy regulations
- patience and genuine interest in elderly and disabled care
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- knowledge of standard office equipment operation
Job Duties
- Operate paging/telephone system as required
- answer telephone and direct calls to appropriate individuals or departments
- receive inquiries and release information per policy
- manage Patient Trust Fund under supervision
- greet and direct visitors and guests
- provide directions and information to residents and visitors
- assist with administrative duties including typing, filing, and posting accounts
- receive, sort, and distribute mail
- operate copier and other office machines
- use computer as directed
- order supplies as needed
- assist department directors with administrative tasks
- attend in-service education programs
- follow Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill, and Evacuation Procedures
- maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records
- protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse
- protect residents' personal property
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or administrator
